Summer is destined to be the time of year to keep us from sleeping: It is warmer, brighter, louder.. we socialize longer in the evening, get less quality sleep at night and still have all the stuff on our plate that needs to be taken care of all year round. Also the garden needs more care and attention, we go on vacation, come back and need to get everything in order.. again.
When you struggle to get a good nights sleep you can use majoram essential oil. You can use it in your diffusor together with lavender in the bedroom before you go to sleep (and also while sleeping, if the diffusor is silent enough to not disturb you) or put it on a cloth on your pillow, so that you can inhale it while you sleep.
Before going to sleep you can also take a relaxing bath with six drops of lavender essential oil (put the drops on salt crystals first and put the salt into the water or use a small amount of milk in the water, to dilute the lavender oil, so that it doesn’t float on top and just stick to your skin).
Other measures you can try to get more quality sleep are eating only very light meals in the evening and having no caffeine later in the day.
