We all know the situations when we are so stressed before an important event, exam or meeting, that we tend to have an upset stomach which makes us rush to the toilet. This might be a natural process of the body to deal with the fight and flight situation that is at hand, but is still very inconvenient and not helping with what lies before us.
Maggie Tisserand has a nice tip for all of us who can’t seem to “keep it together” before unsettling and important events. She advises to use geranium oil, one or two drops on with some honey water or on brown sugar, one or two hours before the event that is taking place. Why geranium? Because of its sedative and uplifting properties. It is used by doctors in Italy to treat anxiety states. So if you are heading for a job interview, a public speech or having important guest over for dinner, grab some geranium and be at your best.
Neroli essential oil will also work in that regard, it is known for releasing tension and nervous anxiety. You can dilute it with a few drops of oil and wear it like a perfume to the event. Sounds great to me…
