The Pineal Gland: Underrated and Overloaded

This tiny gland close to our brains is much more important than we are aware of: It regulates our sleep/wake cycle, regulates the blood pressure, our sexual development, growth, body temperature and motor function. It is also said to play a huge part in our spiritual connection to all that is around us. But this gland suffers extremely by our uptake of environmental toxins and we need to take good care of it, so it doesn’t calcify.

A good maintenance program for the pineal gland is the diffusion of the essential oils vetiver, frankincense, ginger and sandalwood and cedarwood. You can also smell them directly from the bottle.

The good thing is: If you regularly diffuse essential oils in your home, you have the nice side effect that glands like this get pampered as well, even if they were not your main reason for diffusion.

Be well and see you soon!
