Do you also hate the smell of cooked cabbage or cauliflower? I really like to eat them, but I cannot take that smell. So here is a nice trick that you can use to avoid that smell without adding unwanted flavour to the vegetables: When the water is cooking, shortly before you put in the cabbage or cauliflower, add 2-3 drops of nutmeg essential oil. This will kill the cooking smell but not noticeably change the taste of the cabbage. If you only use very little water for cooking cabbage, use only one drop of the oil!
