An erotic massage has a different goal than a relaxing massage or even a purely sensual massage. It is used to stimulate sexual excitement, a prolonged foreplay if you want. Of course there is some heavy oiling going on and that makes the use of essetial oils even easier and more fun. And make no mistake, essential oils can REALLY add to the excitement, so do not leave them out the next time around!
In her book „Aromatherapy for lovers and dreamers“ Judith White suggests to use the so called base notes of the essential oils, the woody and heavy ones like sandalwood, cypress and patchouli, in order to enhance and support natural body odors that are key to arousal and intimacy, while stimulating and supporting the needed blood flow and and releasing pheromones through our glands.
Smell is much more important for us than we might be aware of and pheromones are the chemicals that make us feel attracted to someone (or repulsed). So make use of natural smells while staying away from the artificial ones, since they will disrupt and irritate your experience, while the natural ones, if chosen wisely, can greatly enhance it!
Start you massage by giving the partner permission to be passive for the time of the massage, making it an receiving experience of letting go and letting loose. Use a good quality oil like fractionated coconut oil and mix it with a blend of 2-3 of the base note essential oils that you really like and go to work.
Take your time and use your knowledge of your partners body, making this an experience that you both enjoy and cherish. Afterwards its completely up to you what happens. For a well-balanced massage blend you can get in touch, I would love to share one of the recipes from the book „Aromatherapy for lovers and dreamers“ with you.
Be well and see you soon!
