As part of our normal body processes, the body uses and creates oxidative molecules, that are capable to attract to itself electrons from other molecules, which subsequently creates molecules that are known as „free radicals“. Those radicals, if left to their own devices, can alter (meaning: harm) the ability of other molecular structures by binding to them or reacting with them. This is just nature at work and our bodies can neutralize those unwanted radicals by absorbing or metabolizing enough antioxidant material to deal with that.
But: When we are exposed to a lot of stress (work, family matters, poor nutrition, disease), the delicate balance can be disturbed, eventually disturbing the delicate natural mechanism of balance.
In the course of such an unbalanced state, where a lot of free radicals roam your body, the normal structure of your cells can be damaged to a degree where it leads to cell death, mutation or the loss of the ability to function normally. This is a process that normally goes by „aging“: We attribute all the visible signs of oxidative processes to us aging, while it is a body not functioning properly on a cellular level.
We can counteract the oxidative effects of all kinds of stresses with using certain essential oils that are known for their anti-oxidative properties, such as: Peppermint, tea tree, cinnamon, frankincense, copaiba, helichrysum, petitgrain, spikenard and roman chamomille.
You can take them internally by taking them in capsules or use them while cooking, diffuse them into the air during the day or inhale them directly from the bottle and enjoy not only their cell promoting properties but also all of the nice other effects that each oil has on your body. Also dilute the oils and use them on your skin, after the shower, during a massage or just just when you feel like it.
Be well and see you soon!
