Due to sports accidents and/or just daily „slips“, we often have to deal with bruises and swelling in children and adults, which are usually painful but harmless and which after a while turn unattractive or feel like they restrict us for far too long. But if you have a well-stocked medicine cabinet with essential oils, this is not a problem at all. Apart from cooling the injury, elevating and immobilizing the affected part of the body, there are a number of things you can do to experience rapid improvement. Here are the main essential oils you can use for bruises:
Peppermint oil: It has a cooling and analgesic effect and can reduce swelling.
Lavender: Has calming and anti-inflammatory properties, is skin-friendly and ensures rapid healing.
Helichrysum: This not very cheap oil has wonderful healing properties and can also heal the superficial injuries of a wound with an underlying bruise very quickly.
Frankincense: This oil speeds up the process of cell recovery and is a powerful supporter of all the necessary processes for a speedy recovery! You cannot go wrong with that.
All of these oils can be used undiluted or diluted as single oils or mixed into an effective blend on the skin.
