Quick Response Guide: Using Carrier Oils to Address Essential Oil Sensitivity – Practical First Steps

What to do when essential oils get into a sensitive area like mucous membranes or the eyes, where they cause great discomfort or even damage the tissue (that can occur if you use hot oils like oregano, cinnamon or ginger undiluted on sensitive areas like the eyes, the nose or the ears)

Take ANY kind of vegetable oil (olive, sunflower, peanut etc.) that you can grab in your kitchen and flush the area that is affected with that oil. When the essential oil has already spread in the tissue for some time, it won’t help right away, but it will eventually. Do not use water to get rid of the essential oil: water and oils do not mix and it won’t work at all. Stay calm and wait for the oil to do the work.

Be well and see you soon!
